Video Tape Series

Machinery Oil Analysis- 3 part video series designed to familiarize maintenance personnel with specific skills for application of oil analysis methods and procedures for both industrial and engine-powered equipment.

1. Tape One: Fundamentals and Methods- Introduces the fundamentals of machinery lubrication. Describes the relationship between component motion, lubrication methods, lubricant properties, and additives. Discusses various lubricant failure modes and indicating symptoms.
2. Tape Two: Strategies, Options, and Testing- Familiarizes you with strategies, objectives, and techniques of an oil analysis program. Explains the relationship between the common failure modes and the oil tests which are utilized to generate condition indicators. Shows requirements necessary to develop a reliable machinery oil analysis program.
3. Tape Three: Practical Applications- Learn how oil analysis is utilized in a variety of machnery applications. Presents the use of statistically based data trending procedure to detect oil analysis program that is right for you.

Each tape is approximately 20 minutes long and is accompanied by a separate workbook for each video lesson. The workbooks enhance the purpose and objectives of the videotape lessons facilitating competency based instruction.
